Booking and deposit

To confirm your Berlin Reservation for accommodation through Berlin Escape you have to pay the required booking deposit through our secure payment system. This booking deposit amount depends on:

1. The apartment you selected.
2. The number of guests Escapeing.
3. The number of days you are Escapeing.

This booking amount is clearly shown in the rate calculation as well as the secure online booking form.

Our Online Booking is secured with SSL Certificate Protection

The payment is processed by MoneyBookers and Paypal. We accept all types of credit cards and also bank transfers.

No booking can be confirmed until the booking deposit is paid, only then will you will receive confirmation of your Berlin booking  by email.

The outstanding balance, along with any security deposit (Some owners charge one, some do not),m will need to to be paid in cash on arrival, unless otherwise agreed with owner. Some owners accept payment by Pay Pal or bank transfer.

The security deposit will be refunded on your departure day, after the owner has inspected the accommodation.

Cancellation or making changes to booking.

Cancellation fees depend on how much notice has been given before your arrival date and if we have a chance to resell the cancelled dates. Different owners have different cancallation policies but a rough guide is as follows.

- With less than 14 days notice before your arrival date: 50% of the total remaining balance;
- With Less than 24 hours or no prior notice / No show: 100% of the total balance.

Please note that the booking deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.

My group number / Travel dates have changed,

To change the number the number of guests Escapeing you need to check with us or the owner to find if the accommodation can sleep the additional guest(s): with a smaller number of guests, Escapeing the remaining balance Escapes the same; if more guests arrive that  was originally booked the owner/ manager will add  an additional extra guest fee to your balance.

To change the lenght of your Escape, you of course pay less (Unless it's during special periods when minimum Escape is 7 nights); with more days, you pay the required additional daily rate on arrival.

Requesting a move to a different apartment from the one you have already booked. We will try accommodate you but it is not always possible, but of course we will do all we can.

In come cases to change apartment; you may be required to cancel your original booking and make a new one from scratch.  This will be treated as a new booking and a second booking deposit will have to be paid. 

All changes to reservations or cancellations must be received by email or fax. Cancellations or changes over the phone will not be  accepted.

Berlin Escape recommends that guests purchase travel insurance to avoid any problems.

Arrival procedure

After you have received confirmation of your booking by e-mail,   it is best to print out a copy and place with your tickets / passport as it contains all information that you will require after your arrival in Berlin.

If you have not given us your time of arrival in Berlin, please do so a few days before your arrival.  This is important as owners do not wish to wait around all day in the apartment awaiting your arrival.

During your Escape

Please treat the accommodation and the contents as if it was your own. Different owners have different house rules, please obay any rules the owner informs your of. If you need to contact the owner due to a problem,  damage  or non working equipment, you will have a number for the owner /  property manager. Contact as soon as possible, so the repairs can be dealt with.

Behavior

Most apartments have neighbors so arranging parties and playing music loud is not allowable, please show respect to neighbors. You may be on vacation but they are not.

The guest booking the apartment is the person who will be help responsible for keeping their guests in an orderly manner.

Should the manager / owner receive complaints from neighbors during your Escape, the owner reserves the right to request you to leave or even evict you and your guests from the accommodation; without the right to any compensation. 

Cleaning

The accommodation is cleaned and ready for your arrival. On your departure, you are required to return the accommodation in a simular state. If in the event the accommodation looks like a bomb site the owner is entitled to charge additional cleaning fees if the accommodation is not left as such.

Number of guests

The accommodation must be booked for the number of guests Escapeing in the accommodation. If this number varies during your Escape, you must book for the highest number of guests that will be Escapeing. E.g. If you book for four nights; If on two nights you have four guests and two nights you have only three. you make the booking for four guests.

Unless agreed beforehand with the owner/ manager, only the number of guests indicated in the booking are allowed to use the accommodation. 

The number of guests Escapeing and using the accommodation must not exceed the accommodations allocated capacity, (excluding children under three years old).  The owner / manager reserves the right to request you to leave or even evict you and your guests from the accommodation; without the right to any compensation. 

Amendments

Accidents sometimes happen, In the unlikely event that the owner cannot accommodate you with the apartment that you originally booked, Berlin Escape will do all we can to find you similar accommodation, It is the owners responsibility to have the apartment you booked, ready for your arrival but as things can go wrong and if the owner has just the one apartment, Berlin Escape will bend over backwards to find you somewhere to Escape, but in the event no agreement can be made regarding the alternative accommodation, Berlin Escape will refund the full prepaid booking deposit.

Liabilities

Neither Berlin Escape or the owner of the accommodation shall be made liable for any damages that may occur during the Escape at the accommodation.

Litigation

Any litigation concerning accommodation or booking with Berlin Escape / World Escape LLC, the law of Delaware USA have sole jurisdiction over such matters.

Responsibility

Berlin Escape provides an online accommodation booking service for owners and guests.  In this regard, Berlin Escape is not responsible for accidents, delays, losses, change of intinitery, change of rates or any other damages.

Berlin Escape or it's employees are not responsible for: Errors and omissions; Misrepresentation by third parties; Personal damage or injury while Escapeing in an accommodation booked through Berlin Escape.

The service of Berlin Escape is limited to advertising other owners accommodations and information regarding making a reservation for your chosen accommodation, until booking confirmation is sent by email. The responsibility of Berlin Escape is limited to your booking deposit paid.

Berlin Escape is not part of the rental agreement; Complaints during your Escape contact the owner/manager.

Of course we always welcome feedback from our guests / clients about the accommodation they booked and Escapeed in. We pass on this information/ comments to the owner if the need arises.

Our website

Although Berlin Escape does view all properties before listing them on our site we do rely on the owners to update the information when chances happen to the apartment, items added or withdrawn. All information and resources regarding accommodation are the most up to date we have.  Owners can log in anytime and add or amend photos and all details.

Berlin Escape reserves the right to update information published on the site at any time including rates, descriptions and photographs. Berlin Escape does not guarantee condition or suitability of any accommodation as advertised on its website.

Berlin Escape reserves the right to change, modify or update its terms and conditions at any time.  It is the responsibility of guests using the Berlin Escape accommodation service, to make sure they read these terms and conditions before making any booking. By clicking on "I agree to Berlin Escape terms and Conditions" you agree you have read, understand and accept them.

These terms and conditions do not affect your consumer statutory rights.
